Steve and Carmen Fee

Had a great dinner last night with Steve & Carmen Fee.  They brought their two sons Levi and Price over and we had great steaks and great conversations.  I love to be with friends outside of our usual settings of conferences and events.  As great as those things are we are still usually in work mode.  Got to get to rehearsal, sound check is coming, dinner break is only 20 mins, some big deal speaker is bugging me to change their notes last minute.   All of those things go away when sitting around a dinner table.  Those are the times when deep relationships are formed and “doing life” happens.  I love it and I encourage you to be intentional about having friends and family over for dinner.  Amanda and I think it’s one of the most valuable things we can do as a couple.

  1. settling in to a new city, new home, new jobs, my wife and i are right in the middle of that need to be intentional about developing/nurturing relationships. and that time spent with others has a direct impact on our marriage, too.
